False start. Brinefall

The hero was shipwrecked and thrown onto the island. Now we have to survive here.

The gameplay is a mixture of world exploration and the simplest survival/city building possible.

The hero is thrown onto the pier. Here a storage chest and an NPC assistant with quests and training await him.

The world is a large archipelago of several islands that are full of treasures and enemies. We will be confronted by ordinary mobs, mini-bosses and bosses. The most powerful enemies are marked on the map with skulls.

At the start of things we have a sword and, suddenly, an ax. Why suddenly? Because the pickaxe is equipped in a separate inventory slot, and the ax is there, but it doesn’t seem to exist as an item.

The hero can collect resources (wood, stone, herbs) and then either use them to build useful structures or craft useful things. I didn’t really get into it, but I was rather pleased with the starting production, it’s quite adequate and varied.

First, we will be asked to make a fire, and then more and more new buildings will open, such as a forge or an alchemy table. As a result, we will even be able to build a house. But I simply did not live up to this stage; below it will become clear why.

At some point we will get https://ukcryptocasinos.co.uk/ethereum-casinos/ a volume of spells from the monsters. This will unlock the corresponding active ability. Learned skills from a fairly decent list can be placed on the panel of hot numeric keys from 1 to 0.

A LOT ABOUT SAD

The game has an incredible number of bugs. Let’s go over the most serious of them.

There is some kind of lighting problem in the game that interferes with the day and night cycle. It turns out to be an almost constant light mystery, not pleasant to look at.

Some monsters are invulnerable to attacks. And then they become vulnerable or don’t become.

Magic and archery almost always miss, although hits are visually obvious.

Let’s look at the pros and cons of the game and summarize.

+ Nice graphics (when not glitchy).

+ Good music and sound.

+ Good general idea, interesting world, good craft.

+ The game is being actively repaired.

– There are a lot of bugs in the game. The lighting and the change of day and night are glitchy, unkillable monsters, smearing spells and blows that should hit. Surely there is something else.

– No Russian language text. Required level of English knowledge – low.

CONCLUSIONS ARE SUBJECTIVE

The game should have spent six months or a year in early access, collected feedback, identified and eliminated shortcomings, but it turned out as it happened – it was sent straight to release, under the hammers of fair criticism. The objective assessment of the game now is negative, but I express a little optimism because, despite the abundance of bugs, the game is being intensively corrected, purely by design, I see potential in it and even the beauty of execution if everything worked as shown in the Steam materials (videos, screenshots), which I personally fell for.
