Today, citizens, we will talk about the upcoming game Far Cry 6 and what you can generally expect from it. Everything will be written without unnecessary water, with facts and theses – whoever needs it – we’ll chew on it in the comments. Let’s go.
1. Historical background.
For a complete understanding, let’s look at the previous games in the series, starting with part 3 (rating on a five-point scale:
– Far Cry 3 at the time of release was the standard for a single-player shooter in the open world, 5 points
– Far Cry 4 – supported the series, added something new, but the central storyline sank due to copy-paste and a weak image of the villain, 4 points
– Far Cry 5 – https://slotsnogamstop.co.uk/gates-of-olympus/ again, some innovations, but completely screwed up, both the plot and the storyline, starting with the stupid villain and his accomplices, pulling the player out of the open world with the “plot”, etc. But the gameplay itself, it was. 3 points.
– Far Cry New Down is a poor experimental craft that was supposed to be released as DLS – but the greedy devils Yubiki released it at full price. Everyone in the game screwed up – the stupid main villains, character-level jerk-offs, etc. Deservedly – 2 points (for co-op and special operations).
2. What does the coming day have in store for us?.
So, what will we get in the new Headlight, based on the trailers and advertisements:
– normal central line with normal villain. Who, for once, is not a psycho, but an “ordinary” dictator with his own methods of governing the country. Yes, cruel, yes, vengeful – but not stupid and consistent in his actions.
– returned from RPG gameplay to normal joker – the level of enemies increases gradually and depends on the physical model of the character (policeman, soldier, heavy truck, etc.), and not how much hepe was drawn for him (which was exactly what infuriated him in New Down)
– for once they brought in heavy equipment (tanks and armored personnel carriers), which clearly benefited the gameplay
– weapon modifications (a la Metro Exodus, where they showed themselves well) – quite interesting and necessary in my opinion. Plus they added heavy weapons (such as a shoulder-mounted multi-charge rocket launcher).
– Well, for the heap – they polished up the graphics, improved the partners, and fixed other minor bugs.
The only downsides are that we are being served the same Far Cry 3 again, only in a new wrapper. Again the main villain, again the resistance, again the island. Yes it works, but it’s a repetition, almost a tracing paper, albeit heavily processed. Well, the engine – it was never completely destructible, so your tank, which will run into some kind of shack… well, you get the idea.
The result is that overall it turns out to be a normal project in the series, which players have missed since the 3rd part. Yes, not a masterpiece, but a strong 4 points – the game will shoot in my opinion.
But here’s the next episode of the game – Ubiks need to think hard. Because for the third time “Far Edge 3” is already stupid enough not to push it into the masses, something needs to be changed – for example, make it completely destructible, or a plot without main villains and islands (could be done in Metro Exodus).
