Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order – Deeper than we thought.
The long-awaited game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be released on November 15. A lot of gameplay videos have already been uploaded to the network, and in October many journalists were allowed to play the game for as long as 3 hours. And judging by the reviews, everything is heading towards the fact that we will finally get a decent game in the Star Wars universe, and even without microtransactions! How do you like this, Ubisoft??!
Let’s move on to the features of the game that you should know about before purchasing.
Attentions. A video is available for the laziest! To the rest of you, enjoy reading.
More than you thought!
There are at least https://vegaswins-casino.co.uk/bonus/ 4 planets in the game. A journalist from the website IGN, who managed to play a demo version of the game, reported that after 3 hours spent on one of the planets, there were still a lot of activities and unsolved secrets on it. It also became known that it is not necessary to clear the entire planet in order to leave it. As you progress through the game, you will have the opportunity to return to your ship and fly to other planets.
The game is not “corridor” and is quite large. All planets have hidden passages, secret areas, valuable items and sundries to unlock. To overcome some barriers you will need to acquire a suitable ability, or obtain a certain item. This way, you will have the opportunity to return to locations you already know to find hidden places, passages, and perhaps even defeat more difficult opponents (the latter is not certain). Which reminds us once again that the new Star Wars game is a Metroidvania.
Aesthetic combat system.
One on one battles look interesting. Such fights will likely have to be handled carefully and thoughtfully. The opponents’ blows take away a decent amount of your health, but your blows also cut very painfully. The combat mechanics are close to the games of the Souls series and the cult Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy, and are not at all similar to the slasher The Force Unleashed.
The protagonist easily deals with lone stormtroopers. But when you have a few soldiers blocking your way, and a couple more shooting at you with rifles and rocket launchers from a nearby cliff, the battles become more challenging and, at the same time, more fun.
Let me remind you that the main character of the game cannot cut off a person’s arm, leg or head. But don’t rush to spit! In addition to people, the game contains: droids, representatives of the local fauna, and various kinds of alien creatures – and you can chop them up as much as you like.
While exploring the planets, you will come across strange, scary and dangerous creatures. I use my trusty droid assistant BT-1, you can scan the poor creature and then read interesting information about it in the appropriate section. I only hope that in the full version of the game we will meet creatures from the original trilogy – such as Rancor or Vampa.
Core mechanics.
In Star Wars: Fallen Order, the "bonfire" system from Dark Souls was pumped over. Yes, yes – Dark Souls is in vogue now. For those in the tank, the system works like this: as you progress through the game you will activate spawn points. At these points you can distribute the experience you earn according to your character’s characteristics, discover new skills and tinker with the items you find. Each time such a point is activated, enemies in all locations are reborn (except bosses). In case of death, you are reborn near the last activated point, while losing all earned experience. But! Immediately after revival, you can return to the place of your death and return the experience points lost to souls. Remember! If you die again before picking them up, the experience points will disappear forever.
Among other things, the game contains temples and dungeons with riddles and puzzles, just like in the Legend of Zelda or the old Prince of Persia games. To solve them we will have to move many objects, use force and a lightsaber. There are also acrobatic stunts, climbing, swinging on vines and, of course, running along walls – all in the spirit of Uncharted, Tomb Raider, Prince of Persia and…Titanfall (a game from the same developers).
What do we end up with?? The game borrows various elements and mechanics from famous games and does it, it seems to me, very skillfully. The gameplay of the game is wrapped in a new canonical story arc, in the center of which is a young Jedi who survived Order 66.
We can only hope that the resulting product will be of interest to players even after 5 hours of play.
What will I do?
I play on PS4, and the prices for games here are a little steep. So I’ll wait for the first discount and buy the game. Experience tells me that the first discount can be expected within a month. In addition to everything, I will subscribe for a month to EA Access to get an additional discount.
Thank you all for your attention!
